Alicia is about to finish her bachelors in Behavioral Science at National Louis University. Alicia wanted to take action to help her community, so she joined AmeriCorps and implements financial literacy education for youth at LOS. Having faced extreme poverty in Mexico, Espinsosa has seen what happens when a nation is devastated by rampant poverty. Now, as an adult and a U.S. citizen, she wants to serve her country and help her community.






Rocio Macias
Illinois Welcoming Center Benefits Specialist

Rocio Macias has been at LOS for more than 3 years, and she specializes in serving the neighborhoods of the Southwest Side of Chicago, where she has resided for more than 21 years. Through the IWC, Rocio helps immigrants in our communities obtain much-needed state benefits and services. She thoroughly enjoys her job, enjoys helping people, and says working at LOS is extremely rewarding.
